This update applies to existing systems without requiring changes to camera technology or sawmill line structures. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>ProfiGrade is already known for its high-quality grading. The new AI-assisted defect detection takes grading to an even higher level.  <\/p>\n\n<p>AI improves <strong>defect detection accuracy by 24% compared to previous methods,<\/strong> which results in more consistent grading and reduced deviations in production. The <strong>overall accuracy of AI-based defect detection is 93%<\/strong>, and <strong> <\/strong>the system achieves <strong>over<\/strong> <strong>96% value yield<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>Lisker&#8217;s AI model and AI training environment have been developed in collaboration with a Finnish AI pioneer. The model has been trained using tens of thousands of defect images from Lisker&#8217;s data bank, collected over several decades in various sawmill environments, and from development projects carried out with customers. The training material comprehensively covers various defect categories.   <\/p>\n\n<p>AI does not completely replace ProfiGrade&#8217;s existing defect detection but functions as its intelligent extension. AI alters a defect&#8217;s classification only when it is sufficiently confident in its assessment. This ensures that the system&#8217;s operation remains controlled and predictable in production.   <\/p>\n\n<p>The update is available for all ProfiGrade models (TFE-6, TF-3, and 360). <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Features<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>More consistent grading<\/strong>: fewer incorrect classifications and reduced deviation. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improved knot detection<\/strong>: more accurate classification between sound, dry, and bark knots, as well as knot holes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intelligent filtering<\/strong>: AI removes erroneous knot detections. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improved defect detection<\/strong>: AI better identifies defects filtered by ProfiGrade. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intelligent error correction<\/strong>: AI changes a defect&#8217;s classification only if it is sufficiently confident in its assessment. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Adaptability<\/strong>: The AI model can be adjusted and further developed for each sawmill. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p id=\"block-f6df46a5-556b-4bd7-8da3-cb19352a548f\"><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-bbc9a3d6-ca16-4046-afcc-ec4a1675ef20\"><strong>Contact us for more information!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Do you have questions?
